After teacher teaching us how to choose the book to read and how to write the reading journal, I decided to rechose the book.
These weeks, I found the book called "ARCTIC TALE". It's written by Barry Varela and published by National Geographic. The "ARCTIC TALE" was released movie and book together last year. The leading roles are Nanu and Seela. Nanu is a baby polar bear, and Seela is a newborn walrus.
It's a story talking about their living in arctic.
The reasons I chose this book is that I am interested in the animals in arctic! In this book, I learned that the male polar bear will leave the female and baby polar bear, and it's also will eat them. How strange it is! So that, baby polar bears live with their mother. The baby walrus not only live with mother and also their aunt they meet on the way to the other place. Polar bears don't afraid of other animals in arctic. They are the strongest. Moreover, both polar bear and walrus eat the seal. I didn't know these things before. It was amazing for me! The other reason is that this story is related about the global warming. Global warming is the issue everyone talking about now. With the temperature get higher and higher, the ice in arctic will melt away. The animals will have no place to live. I think this book may also present the environment in arctic now.
There are 118 pages (11 chapters) in this book. I have read 54 pages (4 chapters). However, "ARCTIC TALE" is easier to read than other books I chose before, and the content is interesting. I hope I can finish it as quick as I can.
