It has been five weeks since Andrea became Miranda's assistant . Miranda didn't come to the office, Andrea always gets the tasks by her brief and unclear phone call. She must have to guess what she really want , but it seems not so easily. This time Miranda gave her a tough problem again. She ordered Andrea to pick up two copies of Harry Potter which going to come out tomorrow. Her two sweetie girls want to read it before everyone. Andrea is going to have a beautiful weekend with her old friend,Lily. But this problem destroyed her plan. She thought she had finished this tasks perfectly. On Sunday morning, she got the message left by Miranda,in the message she said that she didn't got the copies! When she called back to Miranda nervously, Miranda told her very impatient, she said that she received the copies too early that she was still in bed that time,not haven't receive the copies.After Miranda hang up the phone, Andrea was so angry. Everyone is happy to receive the phone call, but at that time, Andrea hated the cell phone, it always interrupt her rest time!

This weekend, Andrea went home. Her sister,Kyle, also came back to see their parents with her husband.Andrea has't seen her sister for a very long time. This is a rare opportunity for them to gather together. Her sister brought good news that they are going to have a baby. Andrea told everything she met in the big city including her amazing job. She told her family that she loved her job very much and is accustomed well. But her sister seems know what Andrea was thinking. She didn't want to anyone to worry about her. Being Miranda's assistant is not the job she really want. Andrea just wants to go through this job to get a promise or to get a better opportunity to be the editor of The New Yorker. She told the real feeling to her dear sister privately. Kyle support her thought.
Read here, I stopped. Andrea is so brave that she decide what she want to do in the future. To get her dream , she chose a job she didn't love it very much. I was thinking about myself. I also have a dream,too. But the distance to get it is still very far. And I am afraid.The major subject I study now is not my favorite.I didn't know what the next step I should follow. It confuced me for a long time. Now I see Andrea , she gave me some courage.We don't know what will happen in the future, but do the best of myself now must can help myself in the future!

In the building , there's a new equipment ─ a security camera. It can track what everyone's doing.Andrea don't like this new equipment , she thought that she is always monitored even having a lunch.
One day , Andrea had a little dispute on different views. That noon , Emily didn't have lunch with her , she went out with other colleagues and left Andrea alone in the office. Andrea thought she just went downstairs and had lunch in the restaurant for a while. Two hours passed, Andrea still didn't see Emily come back with her lunch. There's no body in the secretary office, Andrea has to stand by all time to catch Miranda's call.
But it's already four o'clock!!! Andrea was so hungry, she put down the job she was doing and rushed downstairs to have a meal . When she was choosing foods happily, Emily came back! She was so angry and asked Andrea why ske didn't stay in the office. Andrea didn't know that Emily would go out for lunch some time.Both of them were so scared to hear Miranda's message. After playing the voice mail box ,there's no Miranda's message.But..there's a Miranda's nanny's message , she said that Miranda wanted her to inform them because she can't find her both assistants! Did Miranda get angry? No! Her nanny said that she had given the things Miranda wanted. "Don't worry, I just solve the problem. Have a good weekend!" The woman is a savior for them!

It's still a busy day. After Andrea came back to her office , she found many boxes and ribbons , Emly was sitting on the floor , unware these gifts and wrapping each boxes with rbbons . Incredibly Andrea thought , She was working for a woman who received 256 Christmas gifts at all. Those gifts were sent by many famous people ,"But Miranda don't need those things." Emily said. She told her that she can choose the things she want . The skirt Miranda wants is not solved. When they were choosing skirts , suddenly a man called Andrea ," YOU! STAND UP SO I CAN GET A LOOK AT YOU!" He is Nigel , the fashion authority Andrea had seen on TV,magazine and the society pages , everywhere. Andrea was surprised that he was praising her. He wanted to change Andrea's wearing . The interesting man would made a big change on Andrea on someday.
Unlike the movie of this book ,there are many interest , funny things and scenes that did't appear in the movie.
This week is the midterm. I did't read this book everyday.

Fortunately ,at the first day Andrea went to work , she didn't meet her boss Miranda. Emily ,the senior assistant of Miranda , took her to her office. The first day to work in Runway , Andrea was curious about everything , she saw many srange and beautiful people went in and out to check things with Emily and had much interest in meeting her ,"Miranda's new assistant". But she was enjoyed in meeting her new coworkers. She felt that they seemed kind and sweet , everything seems fine now.
When Andrea was listening to Emily introducing those people she met ,two phone calls came in . The first was a customer of Mirandas'. Andrea thought she is Miranda. After Emily apologized and hang up , miraculously , Miranda called in . Andrea was very nervous and took the phone to Emily . Miranda wanted a skirt , that's the first task Andrea got. But Miranda didn't gave her any point like what kinds of skirt she needed , she just said "I need a skirt." Emily knew what skirt she like , she gave Andrea some clues and the places she had to go to get those clothes. After a day running , she brought a lot of skirts back , putting on Miranda's desk for her to choose. She was wondered why she didn't give her the exactly color or kind of the skirt she wanted. Instead of spending more time to choose?
What tasks and problems she will meet in the future , Andrea wondered.

These two weeks I had read chapter 4 . Andrea , the lead role in this novel , has a dream . She wants to be an outstanding editor in The New Yorker . After she graduated from college , she got a great opportunity to get a job . It's a job a million girls would die for ─to be Miranda's asistant .Miranda is the editor in chief of a famous fashion magazine ─Runway. But for Andrea , it's just a very good chance for her to get her dream closer.Working for Miranda for a year , she would recommend you to a better job . After she met Miranda , she got a phone call to notify her starting work in a week .But it's too quick for Andrea . She even yet find her own living place . During the time before her first day to work , Andrea met much difficulties . What's worse , on her first day to work , she loss her way to the building.
What problems Andrea will meet in her future working day ? I am so curious . I hope I can finish this book as soon as fast .

I had seen the movie before.
It was the reason I chosed this book.
I think it may become easier for me to read it .
Reading English novel everyday for 30 minutes is hard to me in the beginnig .
The first week , I usually forgot to read it .
Now I bring this book in my bag everyday
When I have free time , I would read it .
When I read the first page , I can't really understand every words .
It let me feel so frustrated .
Day after day , I was accustomed the reading tips .
And gradually I can enjoyed the book .
Now , I wish I can read more faster !
