problem, many zimbabwean can not find a job and afford to pay the price,so they and some malawian migrant into those poor townships around Johannesburg.the mob accuse those immigrants of taking their job away, and
attack those immigrants.Know South Africa's goverment is facing a dilemma of accept those immigrants or not, because the president Thabo Mbeki had said that South Africa was not "an island separate from the rest of the continent."
And human right groups urged president Mbeki to consider using the military to restore order. In the end, I quote a zimbawean immigrant's comment about the violence for everybody to think, she said "South Africans have time to fight, but Zimbabweans only have time to work, because we are working to feed our children."

I can't really understand the mean of the book and read efficiently. So,I revise my plan to find the article from same magazines or newspapers to write
my reading journals. The topic of the article I select this week is "Alexander The Great's "Crown" Shield Discovered?"writen by Sara Goudarzi.
An ancient tomb thought to held the body of Alexander The Great's father philip II is actually that of Alexander's half brotheer. In 1977, the
archaeologists found out the three ancient royal Macedonian burials, the Tomb I is a sigle stone box containg human identified as mature male,a younger
female, and a newborn. The Tomb II is a large vaulted tomb with two chambers, contained a young woman and a mature male and remain some treasures including
some vessels, potterys,an iron helmet, and a ceremonial shieldand an object initially identified as a scepter.
Later, the archaeologists announced that the burial in the main chamber of the large rich tomb was that of Philip II,father of Alexander the Great, who
was assassinated in 336 B.C.But,their theory had been breaken today.some scientist found the new evidences to proof these treasures remain in the Tomb
II don't produce in Philip II's era,and the mature male laying in the chamber is Alexander's half brother, who had been Alexander The Great's successor.

In this two month, I finished the book " Charlotte's Web ". The literary in the book is plain, so I can image the frame clearly by its vivid description. Now I will continue to represent the summary of the story.
Wilbur is vigorous and always exploring new things. He lives with Fern, the girl who has saved him, for a few weeks and then is sold to her uncle, Homer Zuckerman. Though Fern visits him at the Zuckermans' farm as often as she can, Wilbur feels lonelier day after day. Finally, a warm and soothing voice tells him that she is going to be his friend. The next day, he wakes up and meets his new friend: Charlotte, the gray spider. Wilbur soon becomes a member of the community of animals who live in the cellar of Zuckerman's barn.
When the old sheep in the barn cellar tells Wilbur that he is going to be killed and eaten at Christmas, he asks Charlotte for help. Charlotte has the idea of writing words in her web praising Wilbur's excellence (such as 'SOME PIG'), reasoning that if she can make Wilbur sufficiently famous, he will not be killed. Thanks to Charlotte's efforts, Wilbur not only lives, but goes to the county fair--with Charlotte--and wins a prize.
Because of the short lifespan of spiders, Charlotte dies at the fair. Wilbur repays Charlotte by bringing home with him the sacred of eggs she had laid at the fair before dying. When Charlotte's eggs hatch at Zuckerman's farm and most of Charlotte's daughters leave to make their own lives elsewhere, three (Nellie, Aranea and Joy) remain there as friends to Wilbur.
The story reminds me of the movie "Babe", which acts by animals. Both of them feature by little pig. And I am delighted with those two pigs have a happy ending!

Christopher explains why gives the chapters prime numbers,he say that prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you chould never work out the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about that.Actually,he likes thinking, but he cann't really understand others thinkings, he cann't understand abstract things. So,he likes science and maths, because they just need to think by oneself.I think he is a genius,a dreamer,a murder mystery novel writer.

This time I choose a children's book that is named Charlotte's Web. Charlotte's Web is a children's book by acclaimed American author E. B. White. First published in 1952, it tells the story of a barn spider named Charlotte and her friendship with a pig named Wilbur. The book was illustrated by Garth Williams. To get to know what kind of books foreign children will read in their daily lives, I choose this book, which is recommended by my classmate.
Charlotte's Web is an animal fable that deals with several important aspects of a happy life: friendship, heroism, constancy, and death. Wilbur is hyperactive and always exploring new things. This book begins when John Arable's sow gives birth to a litter of piglets, and Mr. Arable discovers one of them is a runt and decides to kill it. However, his 8 year old daughter Fern begs him to let it live. Therefore her father gives it to Fern as a pet, and she names the runt Wilbur. It's a pity that I didn't finish it yet due to the continuous holidays, but I will finish the last part because it's interesting!

In these two weeks I continued to read "Pride and Prejudice", and I finally finished it!
There are many characters in the story, and I often confuse someone with another. To tell apart their relationship, I surfed the Internet to Wikipedia, finding a picture of comprehensive web which is showing the relationships between the main characters in Pride and Prejudice. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Pride_and_Prejudice_Character_Map.png)
In the end of the story, Lady Catherine discovers Mr. Darcy's feelings for Elizabeth, which threaten her long cherished desire for him to marry her daughter, Anne de Bourgh. She pays Elizabeth an unannounced visit and brusquely tries to intimidate her into refusing such an engagement. Unfortunately for Lady Catherine, her visit only serves to confirm Elizabeth's intentions. Furthermore, Lady Catherine later visits Mr. Darcy, and relates the entire conversation to him — giving him the hope that if he proposes to Elizabeth again, she may accept him. After ensuring the rekindling of Mr. Bingley and Jane Bennet's relationship, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth become engaged.
After she was married, Mr. Bennet missed Elizabeth very much and visited whenever he could. Eventually, even Lady Catherine de Bourgh visited Pemberley, while the Gardiners, of course, were always welcome guests. Both Darcy and Elizabeth love them, for they had brought them together.
The most impressive sentence to me is "…she looked forward with delight to the time when they should be removed from society so little pleasing to either, to all the comfort and elegance of their family party at Perberley." ---extract from the last chapter. It vividly portrayed the happiness and a sense of satisfaction of Elizabeth, and I was deeply touched. My Reading Journal 1 Team F 陳聖勳
The book I want to read is "Pride and Prejudice," first published on 28 January 1813, is the most famous of Jane Austen's novels and one of the first "romantic comedies " in the history of the novel. The book is Jane Austen's second published novel. The reason I choose this book is that I want to read more classic of the world. And I choose the modern version which retold by Hilary Burningham, so I can read it and listen to CD.
Pride and Prejudice is a novel about the family Bennet with five daughters. Though they are not poor, they are certainly not rich, and the girls' choice of husband will decide how they live for the rest of their lives.
The second daughter, Elizabeth, the central character, refused the marry the first man proposed to her. She insisted that she will love and respect the man she marries. Mr. Darcy, who is tall, handsome and rich, was quite attracted to her. He found her both beautiful and intelligent.
There are two problems baffle them in the story: one is Elizabeth's pride: she thought him arrogant; another is Mr. Darcy's prejudice: her family was socially beneath his. --- I think that's why the book called "Pride and Prejudice."
