Continue to the last section , we might think that Oliver could be well treated for a long while , but things always go wrong , a good friend of Mr. Brownlow , whom being called Mr. Grimwig , comes to his house , with the habit that always says to eat his own head , doubts Oliver's honsety , leads Mr. Brownlow to have Oliver to send the books and money back the bookstore , taken it as a test , wants to prove his view toward Oliver is correct that he is a good child . Unfortunately , Oliver fails. The reason is not concern about his nature but his miserable destiny , he is being found by these thieves , taken back to their beachhead , and "well treated" . Just at the moment , Nancy , a lover of Bill sike , defends Oliver , tries to protect him from the "heaven" where he is , and finally from his friend . I am wondering that why author make Nancy become Oliver's protector though she couldn't help much , through chapters before , author has a clear distinction between these who are good and bad , but now Nancy's behavior blurs that boundary . Could we say , in fact , author still believes that the humanity is good , even "now" they're bad . I see the hope from Nancy , I wish she 's not the only one in the time that we think the world is brutal and dark , I really hope so .
