My Reading Journal 3 J組 楊凱容

This two weeks, I have read to chapter sixteen of my chosen book - Charlotte's Web, leaving six chapters to be read next week. In the final of my last time reading the book, I read that the pig, Wilbur, was feed to be killed as bacon or ham. So, Wilbur went to find the spider, Charlotte, who could help him out the crisis.
Charlotte spent a lot of time working on a plan to save Wilbur's live. Finally, she got a good idea. She weaved a message on her web to show the people who were the master of the farm and intended to eat Wilbur. What the message said was that "the pig." This action result in a miracle on the pig. People who lived in the village all came to the farm to visit the pig and the master was also proud of Wilbur.
Infect, I couldn't really understand what "the pig" mean. Wasn't it equal to "certain pig?"I have consulted the dictionary but still found no answer. Though I was confused by the word "some pig," I read the book continually, wondering that maybe I could understand it by reading from the context.
Followed by "the pig," Charlotte weaved some other word like "terrific" or "radiant," appealing more people to came. Wilbur became more and more famous and so did his owner. By the way, there was not only Charlotte but also much animal helping Wilbur, such as the rat, Templeton . Then, one day, the master of the farm decided to take Wilbur to the fair. In order to protect Wilbur, Charlotte and Templeton hided in the crate which Wilbur was put in.
I have read here this week. It's odd for me why the spider weaved the miracle web, but the pig got the fame.

A spider web that spells? This would be sensational. Of course, "the pig", "some pig", "radiant pig" are progressive in nature which can be interpreted in a special direction.
