My Reading Journals 2 J組 董力文

I have read the book "American Short Stories In Special English" for some days. There were lots of stories, but one of them touched my heart deeply. The tale was about a pregnant mother Olive helping their cow to have a baby. It was her husband's job, and he told her to stay at home instead in the barn. Nate was afraid that his wife would be scared when seeing new calf's born. When it happend, Nate could do nothing about the cow, because he didn't have any experience. Olive scared at first, but soon she became calmly, and controlled all the situation. How bravely Olive was! She was fearless to the calf, maybe it was due to the natural duty. Mothers seemed to have the power that can protect their baby very well and safely than Father. And even if how weakness they were first, then they all would be storng enough to face the trouble for their children.

From the story, I learned that we can do many things than we expected before, just to make our mind and do the best for ourselves.
